I drove my parents to Publix this morning after some amazing coffee, starting off my day as any teenage girl dreams to; in a beautiful, rustic coffee shop planning out the remaining hours of my day. While waiting for my parents to finish their grocery shopping, I sat in my car and thought up something fun to write. Perhaps my inspiration for this particular piece came from being alone in my car or maybe something just came to me, but either way, I really love how these few lines turned out:
By far the bleakest of all companions
Is that of which is bitter,
pathetic, and unwavering.
A companion that will not release
the demoralizing grip
it holds on a life;
Loneliness.
